When to Grow?
When is the right time to increase your market share? Once the market has turned up, or on the way down in the current economic cycle?
The time is now! Your competitors may be cutting costs, downsizing, wondering when to invest in an upturn. Overtaking them when they are cutting back is enormously cheaper in real spend terms as you are not taking them head-on.
If you plan to thrive in a downturn economy and compete with your less positive competitors, the rewards could be better market share and a valuable investment in your staff. A company in good shape now will be best positioned when times are better, by having more engaged staff and the speed to pick up opportunities. |

There are a lot of people on the market right now, and many of those currently in work are probably planning to stay put and ride out the recession. This could be an excellent time for your business, with its growth plan, to attract top quality people.
What will the competition be doing when an upturn comes? Probably spending time and money on recruitment instead of marketing! If you have already invested in your people you will be better focused to seize new opportunities.

Intelligent teams
What makes a team perform well? How do you work with the fact that many people have no experience of an economy in this sort of recession? If you are thinking about the phrase ‘survival of the fittest’ how do you become the fittest team in the first place? How do you achieve working smarter not harder?
Did you know that if you tackle improving the thinking performance in your team you can achieve results like more constructive collaboration, more effective change management and improved sales? It also gives you the building blocks for growth.
