| In a recent discussion with a client we were examining the benefits of ‘being yourself’ at work.
We concluded that it can be more fun, more satisfying, more productive and probably helps the person to come across as more open minded. |

Why is it then, that some people can only become their true selves when it seems to matter less? You’ve already had a successful career, you’ve made your money, you’ve learnt a lot of valuable lessons. You’re now entitled to be the real (slightly eccentric?) you!
As a result of the conversation, I asked the client if he would use his considerable skill and experience in these matters to write an article for us.
In this issue therefore, I am delighted to introduce ‘Argh! Just be yourself’, by
Peter Wilson. Peter is the Manager, People and Organisational Development, for GS1 UK, the supply chain technology specialists, and he is a part-time executive coach and facilitator.
This article will be of interest to anyone facing important meetings, and especially an interview.
