They include a number of businesses that are transforming their ways of working, which will enable them to grow from a more efficient foundation. The excitement of being involved in a major European transformation programme is proving popular with candidates who are looking for more challenge. |

A selection of niche companies in the business services sector internationally have continued to do well in the past 12 months, although they tell me that this has been hard work and has involved the flexibility to adapt the product/service to the market and a clear focus on value. |

Others are experiencing more of a drag factor, with the recession taking longer to hit initially and signs of improvement not materialising as quickly. All though are aware of the need to be in good shape now for the eventual upturn and are considering their investment strategies carefully. |

Other metrics are also being thought about, such as measures of stability like working capital and cash flow, and cost reduction. |
